Speight to serve as panelist for the 农业基础’s Virtual Forum on Ownership and Investment in U.S. 农田
农业基础 is set to host a virtual forum, “Ownership and Investment in U.S. 农田,” via Zoom on Tuesday, July 18, from 9 a.m. 到11点.m.
The Forum will address the challenges and opportunities surrounding agricultural land ownership in the U.S. Topics will include the historical issues with agricultural land ownership, trends in farm demographic change, competition for land between farmers/农场主 and real estate and energy development interests, 和更多的.
农民, 农场主, food and agribusiness leaders, government officials and staff, industry representatives, NGO representatives, 学者, students in agricultural disciplines, and members of the media are all encouraged to attend.

“Ownership of and investment in U.S. farmland is a critical topic as we look towards the future with new demands for farmland, transitions of ownership and succession planning, and farmland as a continued investment opportunity,” said Martha King, 农业基础, vice president of programs and projects. “This Forum will examine the topic from multiple perspectives and look at both current events and proposed legislation as well as future demographics and trends.”
